TEAR STAINS

Tear Stains developed from my experience observing the relationship between land, life, and growth in an environment shaped by heat and constant change. In these spaces, I encountered small herds of cows positioned within narrow spaces, existing between expansion and what remains.

Their stillness stayed with me. It became a point of reflection on presence, endurance, and the shifting nature of the landscape around them. The title refers to the faint streaks on their faces, marks that could come from dust, sunlight, or something less defined.

This work does not attempt to explain those details, but instead holds space for uncertainty. It reflects my own process of noticing, questioning, and considering what may go unacknowledged within familiar environments.
